Your posting for Data Center FacilityManager, indicates requirements that closely match my background
and expertise. It is a pleasure to enclose my resume to provide a summary of my qualifications and experience
for your review. I retired as a Critical Facilities Engineer from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)
with-in theDepartment of Defense which included 24 years as the Branch Chief, managing the Computer
Facilities Engineering Management Branch. Immediately after retirement, I was recruited by a government
contractor as a Facility Engineer to oversee several multi-mil dollar Capitol renovation and up-grade projects to
the Tier4 data facility.
In Oct 2012, I was contacted for a “hard to fill”requirement and was subsequently recruited by Parsons
Engineering as the“Senior Construction Inspector; Independent Verification & Validation, with an O&M
Bridge team for the new construction and turnover of a $2 billion, 1.5mil. Sq.ft. Tier IV Classified Government
Data Center Facility in Utah. Throughout my career I havemaintained the highest performance standardswithin
a diverse range of engineering disciplines in applying new developments and judgments resolving complex or
obscure problems. I have streamlined maintenance requirements for critical environmental support equipment
and systems by developing preventive maintenance frequencies and criteria, quality assurance audits and
evaluations. I have reduced utility and maintenance operating costs and have enjoyed successful conservation
accomplishments while assuring mission essential systems were operating at peak performance and efficiencies.
My early background began as a family owned electrical construction contractor and my mid-career hands-on
experience in maintaining UPS, HVAC and emergency power generator back-up systems is extensive. My
FacilityManagement experience is also inclusive of Project Management, Quality Assurance, Contract
Management and Safety. My professional experience includes expressed corporate knowledge to consult, advise
and direct new construction project as well as the maintenance and repair of complex data center environmental
support equipment. I bring extensive Team and Project Leadership with a broad knowledge of engineering
concepts, principles, and practices applicable to the required duties of critical facility maintenance management
positions. €A demonstrated capacity towards strategic planning and procedure development for comprehensive
Critical Environmental Support Systems Equipment Preventive Maintenance.
€A
career-long history of innovative concepts for successful design build and installation projects to improve
dependability, reliability and efficiencies.

€1989-1992- NATOClearance In order to manage complex critical environmental equipment systems and
provide 99.9% dependability and reliability, I bring a proven track record as a Mission Critical Facility
Engineer, who has had a career of diligent and successfully established achievements of both short and longrange
objectives. I bring a background of unique depth of experience to plan, design and specify projects and
equipment, install and troubleshoot systems and document the work. I understand the critical nature of
successful proactive preventive maintenance towards the operational integrity of all facilities equipment. I strive
to lead, mentor and develop employees with a vision which will inspire them to be what they know they could
be, with a legacy of professional integrity and the pride of quality of purpose that reflects well on the character
of the company. I am hoping to find new opportunities in companies like yours which intrigues me as an
organization that realizes the importance of inspiring teams to reach new heights. This very type of vision has
defined and propelled note worthy successes during my career. While the complexities and responsibilities of
my experience in national defense and security for a critical Tier IV clean room computer facility is likely to far
exceed most Facility Manager positions, I am looking forward to discussing your objectives and howwe can
work together to accomplish them. I presently enjoy occasional on-call work in a "Casual Status" as a consult to
Parsons Engineering and reside in Utah..... However I maintain a residence in Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island,
Florida, a few miles north of Jacksonville and am looking towards relocation.
Thank You for your consideration, Paul Johnson
